Freelance
I wonder if someone gets enjoyment bouncing around between jobs, eating what they kill. It doesn't seem like a tranquil life, although it seems many tranquil people are 'freelancers' not tied down to any one place of work or set of hours.
I wonder if being a business owner is much different. Constantly chasing the next deal, putting out fires, calming people down.
It seems the employee life is the most ideal, and seems reasonable that most people have taken it. It's calm, predictable, a tapered balance between responsibility and unaccountability.
It seems we all want to be independent, stable, financially secure and able to splurge on occasion, be a part of something meaningful, do something impactful, learn and grow, and be able to point at something we've achieved. I wonder if you can get that as a freelancer.
