Luxury

I wonder what makes people like luxuries. It seems the experience is not very different in a luxury hotel vs a regular one. You can't feel the light coming from expensive light fittings or walk differently on more expensive tiles. 

It seems it's a lot about what you tell yourself about yourself that makes one enjoy this more. The fact that this is something only special people like me can do. That I am better than others.

It's interesting how mid market items or hotels cater to a small niche. People want to feel fancy or simply want an affordable place to stay. The kind of fancy place to stay is an expensive way to half scratch an itch.

It seems that just being, taking things in without more meaning about self or comparison to other options, could be the best way to stay no matter where you are.
