Pride
I went to a Pride event yesterday and there were some seriously unique looking people. Feel what you want about the movement, it seems to however nurture an idea of unashamedly being yourself, owning your own style and way of living. Being proud of who you are and what you like. It celebrates difference and creates space for people's quirks and differences.
I think this is something lacking in the more traditional society, where conformity drives everyone to look and act like a handful of standard stereotypes.
I wonder what the world would look like if we all adopted this openness and celebration of 'different'.
